One person was injured in an accident around 7:00 this morning on West Andrew Johnson Highway at the Interstate 81 off ramp.
A Ford Explorer driven by 31-year-old Courtney Mikels was traveling southbound on West Andrew Johnson Highway, while a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 23-year-old Ethan Bumgarner was pulling onto 11-E from the Interstate 81 southbound off ramp.
According to the report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Mikels did not stop at a red light and struck the driver’s side door of Bumgarner’s Tahoe.
Bumgarner was injured and transported by EMS to a local hospital. Mikels was not injured. No charges were listed in the THP report.
