One person was flown from the scene of a motorcycle accident Tuesday night.
The accident occurred around 8:30 PM on the 9300 block of the Horton Highway when the motorcycle hit a guardrail. Volunteers with the United Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene with two fire trucks and seven fire fighters assisting. United VFD set up a landing zone for Highlands Air Rescue. The driver was airlifted to the Johnson City Medical Center.
EMS, Greene County Sheriff’s Department, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol also assisted during the accident. Responders cleared the scene by 9:40 PM.
