A woman was arrested and warrants were taken out for a man who evaded police during a traffic stop Monday evening.
Officers reportedly spotted a Mazda on Serral Drive and initiated a traffic stop due to a registration violation on the vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and continued driving into the parking lot of Relax Inn when it sped up. At that time the passenger, Valiree Foster of Chuckey, allegedly jumped out of the vehicle and was detained by officers.
According to the report, the driver, who was later identified as James Mullins, evaded the Greeneville Police Department and warrants were taken out for Felony Evading, Driving on Revoked License, and Registration Violation. Foster was charged for Failure to Appear and transported to the Greene County Jail.
