Deans Hardware opened its doors for the first time in Mosheim on Friday.
The new hardware store is located in Mosheim at 6766 W. Andrew Johnson Highway next to The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy.
The new hardware store is locally owned by David Dean, who has over 20 years of hardware store experience, said Friday he had been wanting to open a local hardware store for about 10 years.
The store sells tool brands such as Milwaukee, Dewalt and Diablo in addition to carrying hardware, plumbing, paint, and gardening products. The store even sells water heaters and some lumber. Dean said the store is meant to be able to address most homeowners’ needs.
Dean said he felt that a hardware store was needed in that area of the community, and that a personal touch and quality customer service would set his locally owned store a part from national chains.
Dean said he felt he was providing a service to the community, and hoped that people would support the local business when choosing where to do their hardware store shopping.
Deans Hardware is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The store can be contacted by phone at 423-450-2001.
