The new Greene County Health Department will officially open July 20th in the Greene Valley Business Park.
That announcement from Tusculum Mayor Alan Corley came near the end of the Tusculum Planning Commission meeting Tuesday evening.
Located behind the former Greene Valley property on a 330+ acre site on Eden’s Road, the $6 million dollar facility will replace the current building located near the West Andrew Johnson Highway/Church Street intersection in Greeneville.
The new, one-level, building will make the health department more efficient and convenient for services.
The state provided $5 million in grant funding and Greene County provided a $1 million funding match.

Greene County Partnership and CEO Jeff Taylor also said at the meeting he anticipates Eternal Water will be bottling water soon at their new 23.5 acre site located behind the Health Department property.
