The new Baileyton Police Chief was officially introduced Tuesday during the monthly meeting of the Baileyton Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
Bruce Halliburton began his new job last month after another person initially accepted the position but then changed his mind. The search for a new Chief began after Joshua Ferguson was demoted then later resigned earlier this year.
Chief Halliburton most recently was the Police Chief in West Fork, Arkansas and has been in law enforcement for nearly 35 years.
Prior to West Fork, the Southeast Missouri born Halliburton was with the East Point Police Department, in a suburb of Atlanta.
