Near record heat is expected Wednesday afternoon in Greene County with widespread temperatures in the mid to upper 90s.

Don’t leave a child, an adult over 65, or your pets in a vehicle unattended. The temperature in your car can become deadly very quickly. It only takes 10 minutes for a human or animal to become miserably hot. Remember heat exhaustion can lead to a heat stroke and animals can die of a heat stroke in just 15 minutes.
