A man was stopped Thursday night by the Greeneville Police Department for having no headlights on and was arrested after a K9 gave a positive alert for narcotics.
A traffic stop was initiated on Kiser Boulevard and Delwood Circle. The driver, Nathan Drake of Greeneville, seemed nervous according to the report, and a K9 was requested to the scene. Drake stated he was driving the female passenger to the store.
The K9 arrived and gave a positive alert on the vehicle. Officers found several items in a gym bag including baggies with residue, 1.3 grams of a white crystal like substance, and a glass pipe that was found rolled up in a pair of boxers. Drake admitted the narcotics were his.
He was arrested and charged with Possession or Casual Exchange of Meth, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, and Lights Required On Motor Vehicles.
