Two semi trucks, two cars, and a pickup were involved in an accident at the intersection of the 11-E offramp and Baileyton Road. Like numerous other accidents this morning, icy conditions were to blame.
The National Weather Service says that another band of scattered light snow showers will move through portions of northeast Tennessee this morning. Additional light snow accumulations of less than an inch is possible. The lingering light snow and cold temperatures will create slippery travel this morning.
Sheriff Wesley Holt and Greeneville Chief Steve Spano urged motorists to avoid travel until conditions improve.
