Mountain Motor Sports is planning to build a new 23,590 square foot building at their location on East Andrew Johnson Highway. They have asked the Greeneville Regional Planning Commission for approval of the site plan at 310 East Andrew Johnson Highway.

The new building will replace the existing building located on the same site. It will include fifty parking spaces and a gravel area to display product inventory.

The board will also consider the conversion of a house at 1027 West Summer Street into the future home of the Strong Futures program. That program provides support for drug recovery and rehabilitation, as well as other outpatient services.

The board will consider a site plan application for a new oil change facility at 2270 East Andrew Johnson, and will consider the approval of 32 new home sites at the Johnson Farm Development off North Rufe Taylor Road. The addition of those homes, built by D. R. Horton, will the total at that site to 169 units.

These requests were to be heard at a Tuesday meeting of the Planning Commission, but the meeting was postponed due to lack of a quorum.  The meeting was rescheduled for November 19.
