An apparently abandoned house was heavily damaged by a fire at 560 Main Street in Mosheim Tuesday night.
The fire was reported around 9:45 PM. The home was fully involved when firefighters arrived. Volunteers with the Town of Mosheim, Mosheim, and Midway Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene. An arson investigator was called to the scene.
The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation by authorities, according to Chief James Foshie at the Town of Mosheim Fire Department. A full release with more information will follow after the investigation.
