Mom Advised To Terminate Pregnancy Gives Birth To Miracle Baby

Imagine the feeling when you’re 20 weeks pregnant at your anatomy scan, your baby has a heart beat, and the doctor tells you something is wrong and recommends you terminate pregnancy.

No one could prepare you for this moment. You get results back from the doctor who says something is wrong with your baby’s heart, results determine the baby will have down syndrome, the doctor says they’ll be born blue and you will only a limited amount of time with them when they’re born. At this point you rely on god and a miracle or you give up.

Amber Trantham didn’t give up. She did not listen to doctors and did not abort her baby, which in the state of Tennessee is illegal anyway, under the Heartbeat Bill. Instead she left it in gods hands and miracle baby Paisley was born on July 13th, 2023. Although her organs and scans came back normal, she was born with half a heart and a hole in the middle, but no surgery was needed as doctors had originally stated. The mom and baby were able to go home from the hospital in two weeks.

Due to Paisley’s bad heart, she will need a heart transplant but since she is not in critical condition she is a Status 2 and low on the transplant list. If her condition gets worse, then she could be placed higher on the list but would need to be in the hospital for 6-8 weeks waiting on a heart transplant. It’s been a rough road for Baby Paisley but she is a fighter.

An Outdoor Benefit Singing for baby Paisley will be held on October 28, 2023 at Greenelawn Baptist Church on 4158 Ashville Highway from 4-6 PM. Consider attending for support, donating, and help raise funds for the family, which will help with the medical bills.

A Cash App for donations has also been set up: $PaisleyHeartFund.
