Minor injuries were reported during a vehicle accident Monday morning on the East Andrew Johnson Highway, about 200 feet north of Willow Ridge Drive.
According to the report, the accident occurred after 9:30 AM when a vehicle driven by Sheryle Hart left the roadway. While gathering evidence a deputy stated it appeared Hart veered left off the roadway and jumped a drainage ditch. The vehicle reportedly flew about 20 to 30 feet before landing and flipping down an embankment.
The deputy spoke with Hart who said she has epilepsy and did not remember what happened during the accident. She did have minor injuries and was transported by EMS to the hospital, according to the report.
The Greeneville Emergency & Rescue Squad, Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department, and Greene County Sheriff’s Department also responded. Units cleared the scene about 10:30 AM.
