One of the ways Holston Home assists with the community is with a food truck that provides free meals to a different community each week.
The idea for the food truck had been brewing for some time when Save the Children provided a grant to fund the cause, which led to the start of the food truck events, beginning in March of 2023.
The food truck serves the community through the Ministry of the Rock Church.
Jeffery Thompson from Holston Homes said they wanted to provide a way for the people of the community to know they were cared about. He says it was a way to bless the children and families in the area.
The food truck travels to each community location on a rotation for each month.
Thompson says that God created people to know and to be known, and this is how they are connecting the community.

The food truck is not only a way to serve the community with free food, but also offers the community a time to come together and enjoy fellowship.
