A Memphis man charged with first-degree murder after the body of a woman was found in a motel near Exit 23 in April of 2025 has been indicted by a Greene County Grand Jury.
The Mosheim Police Department and agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began investigating the circumstances leading to the death of 52-year-old Nicole Lynnette Terry of Las Vegas after she was found deceased in a motel room located along Speedway Lane in Bulls Gap on April 19th of last year.
During the course of the investigation, 61-year-old Kendle Newson of Lipford Street in Memphis was identified as the suspect and taken into custody two days later.
He was indicted Monday on charges of First Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault and Tampering With Evidence.
He remains in the Greene County Detention Center on $525,000 bond.
