A man wanted on Violation of Probation charges in Carter County was arrested early today in Greene County.
A Sheriff’s Department report indicates a vehicle in the area of McDonald’s on Tusculum Boulevard around 1:30 this morning caught the attention of a deputy on patrol when it entered the parking lot, circled the building without stopping then proceeded onto Austin Street. The occupant of the residence said the man identified as Trenton Effler of Creek Side Drive, Elizabethton was not inside. The K-9 officer was brought to the scene and Effler was found hiding behind a pavilion at the back of the residence, where he surrendered.
He was taken into custody on the warrant charge out of Carter County, and now faces additional local charges of Felony Evading, Driving On Revoked 4th offense and failure to stop at a stop sign.
