A man reportedly stole a door from Lowe’s on East Andrew Johnson Highway on Monday.
An employee reported to the Greeneville Police Department that a man walked into the lumber entrance of the store around 5:30 PM wearing a black shirt and brown pants. The man retrieved a fiberglass door and placed it on a cart along with other items.
The suspect checked out at the lumber desk and paid for everything except the door. According to the report, the door had a sticker falsely placed on it, stating it had already been purchased and was for pick-up later.
The suspect then proceeded to walk past all points of sale without paying for the door, which is valued at $750.
