A man who was arrested Friday on the Erwin Highway for Violation of Probation, put up a fight before he was taken into custody.
According to the report, Michael Morgan was walking down Erwin Highway when Greene County Sheriff’s spotted him. He was found to have an active warrant out of Greene County and was approached by an officer. Morgan allegedly began raising his voice and his behavior escalated over time. He was warned that if he tried to leave the scene he would be physically stopped due to him having a warrant.
Morgan reportedly was jerking away from the officer and seemed as if he was trying to run into traffic. He continued to resist and did not comply, causing the officer to utilize an arm bar takedown. He was removed from the roadway, arrested and taken to the Greene County Detention Center.
