An Easterly Drive man reported his truck stolen after he let a woman stay at his house.
The victim told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department he met the suspect Sunday at Dollar General on Asheville Highway. She said she needed a ride and maybe a place to stay. The victim let the woman stay in his house for the night.
The victim woke up early Monday afternoon to discover the suspect was gone and his 2004 Chevrolet Silverado missing.
The truck is valued at $7,800. The victim also estimated about $1,000 worth of tools inside the vehicle. The suspect was identified in the report.
