A man who was reported to be in the middle of traffic was arrested Tuesday afternoon near West Summer Street and the By-pass.
The Greeneville Police Department responded to drunkenness after receiving a call about the man, Gregory Bailey of Greeneville. They found him still in the middle of the road and had to help him off the street for his safety. Bailey reportedly had slurred speech, glassy eyes with pinpoint pupils, and was not making much sense when speaking with the officer.
According to the report, due to him not being able to walk safely on his own he was arrested for public intoxication. During a search around 2.5 grams of a substance believed to be Methamphetamine was reportedly located. He was charged with Public Intoxication, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Meth.
