A man was found lying in a ditch on Terry Leonard Drive near the Baileyton Road around 12:20 Wednesday afternoon.
Andrew Groves of the Asheville Highway told Sheriff’s Deputy Braeden Vereecke he was riding down the road when his wife threw him out of their moving vehicle. She told law enforcement the two were having a verbal altercation when Groves reached over and bit her on the hand, leaving a visible mark. She says he then opened the door and it was his decision to jump.
EMS transported him to the Johnson City Medical Center for evaluation of injuries. He faces a charge of Domestic Assault.
