A Greeneville man ran from police and was arrested after fleeing on foot through a park during a soccer game Thursday.
According to the report, the officer was near West Bernard Street when he saw a man driving with no seatbelt. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver, Jacob Schuck, allegedly exited the vehicle and fled on foot toward Terry Bellamy Soccer Park. There was a soccer game where small children were present when the man ran through the park. The officer caught up to him below the park near the woods.
A K9 was requested to the scene and gave a positive alert on the vehicle. The K9 also performed a search at the spot where Schuck was detained and officers found 19.5 grams of white crystal like substance suspected to be Methamphetamine. Large amounts of cash in rubber bands were reportedly found on Schuck.
He was given multiple charges including evading arrest, tampering with evidence, and manufacture, deliver, sell, or possession of Methamphetamine.
