A man is facing charges after fleeing from police on a motorcycle on Sunday afternoon.
Deputies clocked a motorcycle traveling 125 mph on Fish Hatchery Road around 3:45 PM. A traffic stop was attempted and the driver, identified as Colby Johnston of Fish Hatchery Road, reportedly fled. Johnston continued on Fish Hatchery Road toward South Mohawk Road. He allegedly passed two vehicles on a double yellow line. He was also seen traveling on the wrong side of the road on three different occasions, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department report. When the pursuit reached Livingston Lane, Johnston finally gave up when he saw another deputy.
Johnston reportedly did not have insurance or a motorcycle license. He was charged with evading arrest, reckless endangerment, driving without a license, violation of the financial responsibility law, speeding, and traffic control device violation.
