A Limestone man reported Sunday to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department that he began receiving threats on Facebook after commenting on a picture.
The victim said he was browsing Facebook on Sunday morning and left a comment on an image of a vehicle that was posted by the suspect. The victim commented with the word “junk.” A couple hours later, the suspect began messaging threats to the victim, saying he was going to kill the victim and his family members and burn his house down.
The victim said he does not know the suspect, who lives in Denver, Colorado, and has never met him before. The suspect’s name and picture from his Facebook profile, were provided to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
Images from the online conversation between the suspect and victim were placed into the report. An extra patrol was requested for the residence to be checked by deputies for signs of vandalism or burglary.
