A Bulls Gap man was charged with DUI early this morning after wrecking in a yard on Oasis Road.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene shortly before 4:00 AM. The driver, Adam Melton of Gap Creek Road, had reportedly crashed his Nissan Rogue into a yard on Oasis Road. Melton said he was traveling westbound on Oasis Road and realized he needed to turn around. When he pulled in the driveway at the residence to turn around, he drove into a ditch.
Melton appeared intoxicated and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He was transported to the Greene County Detention Center, where he registered a .230 on a breathalyzer test.
