A man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run accident involving a Greene County School bus on Wednesday afternoon.
31-year-old Mickey Jeanphillipe is facing charges of reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, failure to make immediate notice of an accident, following too close, driving without a license, violation of the financial responsibility law, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The wreck occurred around 2 PM Wednesday on Cedar Creek Road near the Dodd Branch Road intersection.
The bus was stopped to drop off a student when a 2000 Dodge Ram driven by Jeanphillipe failed to stop and collided with the rear of the bus. Jeanphillipe then reportedly fled the scene.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Jeanphillipe turned himself in at the Greene County Detention Center on Thursday where he was served with warrants in connection with the crash.
