A man barricaded himself in a house on Carson Street on Saturday morning. Greeneville Police have closed a one block area of Carson between Main Street and Myrtle Street and have asked people to avoid that area and plan on taking alternate routes.
Greeneville Police Detective Captain Tim Davis said that the man was not considered a threat to anyone else in the community and that they were communicating with the man in attempts to get him to surrender.
