A man was arrested for public intoxication Sunday morning after the Greeneville Community Hospital reported a man was chasing people.
Officers responded to the disturbance on Tusculum Boulevard and found the man near the entrance to the hospital, with a doctor and a security officer. The man was allegedly chasing people on the track outside. While speaking with the suspect he reportedly was sweating profusely, making erratic movements, and was erratic with his speech.
Officers believed he could be under the influence of some type of drug due to his behavior and found him to be a danger to himself and others. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
