A man was arrested Monday after reportedly stealing items out of a vehicle parked at Arby’s on Tusculum Boulevard.
The victim spoke with officers and said items were stolen overnight from her vehicle including two phones, credit cards, a checkbook, and over $400. According to the report, one of the cards was used at Andrew Johnson Inn on Monday. Officers drove to the hotel and located suspect Fernando M. Pompa, who admitted to stealing items from the vehicle and using a credit card to rent the room.
Pompa gave consent for deputies to search his belongings and two phones and credits cards were recovered. Pompa was arrested and charged with Burglary of Motor Vehicle and Theft.
