A man has been charged after reportedly sending threatening text messages to an employee in the Washington County Court system.
According to Washington County Sheriff Keith Sexton, deputies received a complaint of threatening text messages being sent to a court coordinator. The messages were sent from a phone number belonging to 28-year-old Matthew Dykes Clark of Johnson City. The threats were directed toward individuals associated with a court sponsored program from which Clark had recently been removed.
Clark was located Tuesday at his residence and transported to the Washington County Detention Center for harassment, retaliation for past action, and simple assault.
