A Greeneville man was arrested on Monday after he was found passed out in front of a stranger’s property.
A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to a residence on Boles Lane shortly before 3:00 PM. The resident said a man she did not know had shown up at her property around 1:30 PM.
As the deputy was leaving, he discovered an unconscious man near the roadway at the front of the residence. The suspect was identified as Robert Hansel of Cutshall Avenue.
Hansel said he did not know how he got there and claimed he had not consumed any alcohol or drugs. He reportedly had trouble communicating and staying awake.
While at the detention center, the booking officer found a small baggie containing three oxycodone in his belt.
Hansel was charged with possession of a schedule 2 drug and public intoxication.
