A man from the Old Asheville Highway was arrested Tuesday evening after a report of someone walking behind a juvenile with knives.
Bobby Williams was on Carson Street when officers arrived and was allegedly holding two butcher knives at the time. He was told to drop the knives; he complied, and then was detained. During a pat down, officers found a Meth pipe and Marijuana.
According to the report, someone reported Williams was walking behind a juvenile with the knives and said he was possibly being chased by the suspect. The Greeneville Police Department spoke with the juvenile, who stated that Williams did not chase him and he was never placed in fear.
Williams was given charges only for the drug violations and was arrested.
