Several chickens were found dead on a property on the 1400 block of Caney Creek Lane on Monday.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home at around 12:30 PM and spoke with the victim who said that there are people who own multiple dogs and they let the dogs run around in the neighborhood. The dogs roam freely and reportedly kill chickens and also try to harm small dogs. Neighbors in the community are reportedly scared to let out their dogs because of this fear.
The victim said the dogs killed four of her chickens on Monday. A deputy on the scene did observe the dead animals. Two alleged suspects were named in the report. Contact was made with the two and they were advised to keep their animals on their own property or they would be charged with Dogs at Large.
