Radio Greeneville told you last month that a developer had approached the Town of Greeneville possible purchase of the Locust Street ball field property from the Town of Greeneville for a potential residential project in that area.
At the suggestion of Todd Smith at the Parks and Recreation Board last month, it was agreed out of respect to those who live there, that the town reach out for a meeting with those residents in the community to gauge their interest in development plans vs losing the now seldom used field.
The first of what will probably be two Community Input Sessions will be held Tuesday at Noon at the Greeneville Parks and Recreation building, located at 456 E Bernard Avenue in Greeneville.
This session provides an opportunity for residents to voice their opinions, ask questions, and share concerns regarding the future of Locust Ball Field.
The Greeneville Parks and Recreation Department values public input and encourages all interested citizens to attend and engage in the discussion.
