Two local students have been selected as Homecoming king and queen at Tusculum University.
The student body picked Konrad Sehler, a senior from Greeneville, and Jessica Silvers, a senior from Limestone, as king and queen, respectively. The two were crowned during halftime of Tusculum’s Homecoming football game against UVA Wise at Pioneer Field.
Sehler is a chemistry major and plans to pursue a doctorate in chemistry or chemical engineering. He has participated in research into new anti-cancer drugs that has been conducted by Tusculum chemistry and biology students. He intends to continue on a research path. He is the son of Kurt Sehler and Kathy Malone.
Silvers is a biology major with a pre-medical, dental and veterinary concentration, and she plans to enroll in a veterinarian school and become a large-animal veterinarian. She is the daughter of Kenneth and Jennifer Silvers.
Sehler and Silvers are members of the cheerleading team.
