SOCCER:
The Greeneville Lady Devils’ soccer team dropped 3 games in the Smoky Mountain Cup in Gatlinburg over the weekend.
On Friday evening, Abby Adkins provided the only goal in a 2-1 setback to Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet.
Saturday action saw the Lady Devils get goals from Adkins, Makenzie Castro, and Matea Gray, but fall to South Warren, Ky 4-3.
On Sunday, Vivian Kammerdeiner found the back of the net, but it wasn’t enough as St. Mary’s Episcopal came out on top 4-1.
The Lady Devils travel to Knoxville to play Farragut on Tuesday.

The Chuckey-Doak Lady Knights claimed the Blue Ridge Classic Championship hosted by Providence Academy. The Lady Knights picked up two shut out victories over Elizabethton (6-0) and Volunteer (5-0). Chuckey-Doak defeated the host Providence Academy 2-1 to claim their second consecutive Blue Ridge Classic title. Chuckey-Doak will host Cumberland Gap on Tuesday in Lower Afton.
CROSS COUNTRY:
21 teams from East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia converged on Fender’s Farm to compete in a cross country meet. Greeneville’s boys finished 2nd, while their girls came in 5th.
Trey Bailey led all 172 male runners, completing the course in 16 minutes 11.58 seconds. His teammate, Grant Tunnell, joined him in the top ten with a 9th place finish at 17:46.23. Isaac Gibson (18:29.65) and Jules Richard (18:31.76) finished in 23rd & 24th.
121 runners competed on the female side, and Riley Castro was the top Lady Devil, finishing in 24th place with a time of 23 minutes 58.42 seconds. Annika Vines (24:02.13) finished close behind in 25th position, while Susan Mulhollen (24:42.26) secured 37th and Darla Kammerdiener (25:45.24) was 50th.
South Greene also competed at Fenders Farm and several finished with Personal Bests:
