Just a few years after becoming a Belk Outlet, Greeneville’s local Belk is changing once more, this time to a Belk Market.
The store will hold a grand re-opening on Saturday with those in attendance having the chance to win a Louis Vuitton handbag, fine jewelry, or a $100 gift card.
Greeneville’s Belk became a Belk Outlet in 2023, which led to changes in the store’s inventory and its variety. The outlet model led to the local store receiving only clearance items from other Belks across the nation.
The new Belk Market in Greeneville will once again receive new non-clearance items curated specifically for the store by a company purchaser, in addition to still having clearance goods. A store employee stated that the local store’s team had been working on the change at the store for the past couple months.
Customers can expect new items across men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel, as well as shoes, handbags, accessories, home décor and fine jewelry according to a news release from Belk addressing the new Belk Market model. Currently, it is unknown if a cosmetics counter will return to the local store.
Going forward, items purchased at the Belk Market will be able to be returned for 30-days after purchase. When the store first became a Belk Outlet there were no returns permitted, a policy that was later adjusted.
Belk Market is located at 1367 Tusculum Blvd. in the Greeneville Commons and is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
