A Limestone man was reportedly found in the woods lying in bushes near Chariot Trail after running away from deputies Thursday morning around midnight.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on the 900 block of Chariot Trail after they received a call regarding Chad Hayes, who had warrants in Greene County. Once deputies arrived, a man took off running behind a camper. During a search of the property, Hayes was found in the woods, lying down in a bush. A bag with a crystal-like substance was underneath him. He was taken into custody.
During a search of his vehicle, deputies located a baggie with Methamphetamine, 14 grams of Marijuana, one Suboxone pill, and a container with three roaches. He was arrested for his warrant and given charges including evading arrest, two counts of simple possession, and unlawful drug paraphernalia.
