Emergency personnel responded early Monday morning to an Afton property after a large tree had reportedly been set on fire.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded shortly after midnight to an area at the intersection of Middle Creek Road and Chestnut Ridge Road. The Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene at that time and stated it appeared someone had intentionally set the tree on fire. The tree was extinguished by Tusculum firefighters.
According to the report, arson investigator, Lieutenant David Love, was advised of the incident.
