A juvenile has been charged after he reportedly stole and wrecked his grandparents’ vehicle early Thursday morning.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded shortly after 1:00 AM Thursday to a crash in the 4800 block of Marvin Road, near Gilbreath Road. Upon arrival, the juvenile said he had taken his grandparents’ car without their permission. He said he was driving too fast and wrecked the vehicle.
Deputies spoke with the suspect’s grandfather, who said he wanted his grandson charged.
The juvenile was placed into custody and transported for a medical clearance. Afterward, he was transported to the Greene County Workhouse for theft of property.
