Jurassic Quest has made their way down to Bristol Tennessee and are at the Bristol Motor Speedway until Sunday, March 26.

It’s almost the 10th year for the event according to Ranger Lee, Dino Trainer and Fossil Expert, and Radio Greeneville News got a chance to speak with him and take a peek before the big crowds arrived. Jurrasic Quest features dinosaurs ranging for 165 million years from the Triassic period to the end of Cretaceous period and have roughly about 50 different species. It includes aquatic fossils found in Tennessee and land based dinosaurs  like the Edmontosaurus and Ranger Lee said they are the most long lived, wide spanning dinosaur to ever exist.

Lee said Dino’s there range anywhere from carnivores to herbivores. There’s many features that can help tell dinos apart but Ranger Lee said a big difference in Dino’s is their hips, like Bipedal dinosaurs, which are apart of a family known as Saurischia, meaning lizard hipped.

He suggests allowing anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to explore the event and get the full experience. Dino experts and crews worked almost 14 hours setting up and getting the event ready for their first day on Friday. The event continues the entire weekend with different times available.

This experience is for anyone who loves dinosaurs and is interested in the history and facts, but is also mostly geared towards children. Jurrasic Quest has activities including a bounce house, Dino crafts, Dino rides and more. Information and details can be found on their website at jurassicquest.com. Tickets can be purchased on the website or on site, but could be unavailable if sold out.
