A Johnson City woman faces charges after failing to stop for a Greene County Sheriffs Deputy.
Rachael D Kraft of Justus Drive Johnson City was observed Sunday night driving at an excessive speed on East Andrew Johnson Highway in Chuckey. When the officer paced her doing 70 in a 55 mile per hour zone, she began to pull away. The deputy initiated his emergency lights for a traffic stop but a pursuit ensued into Washington County, where deputies there joined the pursuit. Jonesborough Police were able to stop the vehicle using spike strips on East AJ at Persimmon Road. Kraft was then transported to the Greene County Detention Center without further issue. She was charged with evading arrest and speeding
