The county ordered cleanup of Jim Fox Road property is scheduled for Thursday.
In May, the Greene County Health & Safety Appeals Committee upheld a ruling for cleanup of the property in the thirteen hundred block of Jim Fox Road owned by Christopher Denkler.
Nearby property owners have complained about an excess of vehicles, tires, trash and other debris on the property, but Denkler has yet to comply with orders to clean up the area.
The Rasnakes who live next door were in attendance at the County Commission meeting Monday asking for a status update. County Attorney Roger Woolsey told them the county will be on the property Thursday to clear the property.
The original complaint indicated 12 to 15 cars and trucks were on the property, around 12 which are not tagged or in running condition. Parts, multiple stacks of tires and other trash and debris is also located on the property, according to the complaint.
In March, the property owner was notified in writing to remedy the condition at his cost, or the county would do so at an estimated cost of $5,000. Board members explained to him at the time that it would be less costly for him to take care of the matter himself, rather than have the county do it, which in turn would lead to a lien being placed on his property.
