Today, Tuesday, May 5 is Election Day.
Polls in Greene County which opened at 9:00 am today , will remain open until 8:00 pm.
There are contested races for Greene County Mayor, Sheriff and Road Superintendent.
All County Commissioner races on the Republican ticket are opposed, with the top three from each commission district advancing to the August General Election to take on any Democrat or Independent challengers.
One of the seven constable races in the primary is challenged while the six others face no opposition.
Greeneville City and Greene County school board seats are also on the ballot.
Radio Greeneville will have live and continuous election night coverage beginning at 7:00 pm Tuesday, which is an hour before the polls close.
