The Greene County Sheriff’s Department and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will be continuing their investigation this week into an early Saturday morning fire which resulted in the death of 66 year old Scott Hollenbeck.
Emergency personnel responded to the fire call on Goddard Drive shortly after 1 am Saturday, the caller telling 9-1-1 he was awakened by a loud noise and found the house full of smoke and a fire in his brother’s upstairs bedroom. Firefighters brought the fire under control and found the deceased Hollenbeck in his bedroom.
Units from the Tusculum, Camp Creek, Debusk, & Sunnyside Volunteer Fire Departments, along with the Greeneville City Fire Department, responded.
The body was transferred to the William L. Jenkins Forensic Center for autopsy.
