A passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a crash near Hal Henard Road on Monday afternoon was taken to the hospital with injuries.
According to the report from Greeneville Police Department, a vehicle driven by Tracy L. Beam was attempting to cross from West Andrew Johnson Highway onto Hal Henard road. The second vehicle driven by Lori A. Champion was traveling eastbound when Beam pulled out in front of her and both collided.
Beam told the deputy she did not see the second vehicle before crossing over. Beam did sustain minor injuries during the collision but denied medical treatment on the scene. A passenger in Champion’s vehicle, Jacob T. Champion, was taken to the Johnson City Medical Center after reportedly receiving a suspected incapacitating injury. No further details were provided regarding the passenger’s injury.
Beam was cited with failure due care and Champion was cited for not having insurance.
