U.S. Immigration and Customers Enforcement (ICE) officials in Nashville confirmed this morning several arrests in Greeneville Wednesday afternoon.
Public Affairs Officer Melissa Egan told Radio Greeneville News:
“On Sept. 2, 2026, HSI (Homeland Security Investigations in Johnson City conducted a law enforcement operation in Greeneville with support from federal, state and local partners. Several illegal aliens were arrested. This remains an active, ongoing investigation.”
No other information as too the reason for the operation was released.
The exact number of those arrested was also not disclosed in the news release.
