Greeneville police officers were dispatched to Days Inn on East Andrew Johnson Highway Friday morning, concerning a disturbance between an employee and a tennant.
Around 11:10 AM, officers spoke with an employee, who stated that Damiyon Phillips had been staying at the hotel for 5 days and was refusing to leave.
Phillips had left the scene prior to police arrival, but during the investigation, was seen walking through a nearby parking lot.
Officers called out to Phillips who starting running toward Industrial Road. The officers gave chase before commanding Phillips to stop or he would be tased, after which Phillips complied.
Phillips was detained and showed to have an active warrant for Violation of Probation, Second Offense. Phillips was additionally charged with resisting arrest.
