Fire destroyed a Greene County residence on Wednesday. Emergency personnel were called to 1778 Browns Bridge Road at 7:45 pm. A motorist driving by noticed the fire and called 9-1-1.
Units from the Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department were assisted at the scene by Camp Creek, Sunnyside and Debusk volunteer firefighters.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene along with EMS. A Sheriff’s Department report quoted neighbors saying they were unsure who currently owns the property since the owner had passed away several years earlier. There was no power to the structure. Firefighters say it appears the fire began in the living room area. The Fire Investigator will be on the scene today.
