Just after 1:00 PM Saturday, police responded to a hit and run near East Broyles and North Main Streets.
It was determined that a black Honda U.A.X. had passed the car illegally while the victim was making a left turn.
The black Honda was found parked at the end of the dead end street and left unoccupied. The Honda had damage on the rear passenger side, consistent with what would have occurred as a result of the crash.
A check showed the vehicle belonged to Summer Tweed of Broyles Street. Officers made contact with Tweed, who reportedly admitted to driving the black car and passing the vehicle the victim was driving.
A records check showed Summer Tweed’s license to be suspended. I placed Tweed under arrest for driving on a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident. Tweed was transported to the Greene County Jail, and additionally charged with failure to comply with financial responsibility law and due care.
The victim, Fabiola Ramos, was issued a summons for driving without a license.
